Born in Falun, Schultzberg studied at the Technical School in Stockholm under Edvard Perseus (1841–1890), then at the Academy of Fine Arts. He won the Royal Medal in 1886 and...
Born in Falun, Schultzberg studied at the Technical School in Stockholm under Edvard Perseus (1841–1890), then at the Academy of Fine Arts. He won the Royal Medal in 1886 and as Academy Scholar lived in France and Italy. He received an honourable mention at the Exposition Universelle of 1889 and a bronze medal in 1891. In 1900 he became a member of the academy of Fine Arts of Sweden and today his work is found in many Swedish museums, including the National Museum in Stockholm.
Schultzberg always captured the effects of sunlight on a winter landscape, working confidently with thick impasto.
